Chicken Curry

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Chicken 500g
Onion 2 medium peeled
Garlic 7-8 cloves
Bay Leaves 1-2 leaves
Dalchini 1 inch
Laung 2-3
Kali Mirch 2-3
Chicken Masala of any company 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Marinating the chicken:
    • Wash the chicken pieces and drain the water.
    • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp lemon juice and mix well with the chicken pieces.
    • Leave it for half an hour or so
  2. Prepare the Masala:
    • In a mixer grinder, add 1.5 medium peeled onions, 7-8 cloves of garlic, turmeric powder 1/2 tsp, red chili powder 1/2 tsp, 2 small tsp coriander powder, chicken masala and grind it to a fine paste.
    • Keep it aside.
  3. Cooking the chicken:
    • In a pan, add 2 tbsp oil and heat it.
    • Add 1-2 bay leaves, 2-3 laung, 2-3 kalimirch, 1 inch dalchini
    • Add the half diced onions and fry them till before they turn golden.
    • Add the chicken pieces and fry them for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Mixing everything:
    • Add the masala paste and mix well.
    • Fry the gravy until the paste is cooked and it starts leaving oil.
    • Add 1/2 cup of water and 2-3 seeti laga lo.
    • Cook on slow flame for 7-8 minutes
  5. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
